ISLAMIC RELIEF MALAYSIA EXTENDS THE DISTRIBUTION FOR`RAMADHAN’S FEED THE FASTING 2008` TO PERAK
7th Sep 2008-Islamic Relief Malaysia (IRM) has carried out its second phase of distribution of Ramadhan “Feed The Fasting” 2008 food packages at the state of Perak. For the state of Perak, the underpriviledged from Bukit Gantang, Perak received their food packages today. The distribution started yesterday when beneficiaries from Chemor received their food packages earlier.
The beneficiaries includes the poors who are the local residents from both areas and the orphans from the Yayasan An Nur Maisarah, Chemor and Rumah Anak Yatim Perempuan Nur Hidayah.
According to Mr. Farouq Zauji, the spokeperson from Islamic Relief, “For a mere minimum contribution of RM50 from the public, we will deliver food package to a poor family during Ramadhan and we are hoping to reach out to 10,000 beneficiaries across Malaysia through this program”.
Islamic Relief’s “Ramadhan Feed The Fasting” is an annual seasonal program carried out by Islamic Relief office worldwide to ease the burden of the world poorest population during Ramadhan reaching out to more than 800,000 beneficiaries in 26 countries across the world.
