Islamic Relief Malaysia receives RM1mil from the Malaysian Government for Gaza
The Malaysian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has allocated USD $300,000 (RM1million) to Islamic Relief Malaysia for humanitarian aid in Gaza. The cheque presentation took place during a ceremony at The Institute of Diplomacy and Foreign Relations Malaysia (IDFR).
The Deputy Prime Minister’s wife, Datin Paduka Rosmah Mansor, presented the cheque. Foreign Minister, Datuk Seri Utama Dr. Rais Yatim and representatives from foreign embassies were also present.
A total amount of $3 million was distributed to 13 Malaysian NGOs for the purpose of humanitarian work in Gaza. The $3million was collected from the Malaysian public through The Ministry of Foreign Affairs under the de-facto patronage of Datin Paduka Rosmah Mansor.Islamic Relief will use the money to implement its artificial limbs project as well as supplying ambulances to hospitals in Gaza.
