Islamic Relief in Sudan

Sudan is the first country that Islamic Relief (IR) worked in, responding to a famine in 1984. Since then,
IR has expanded significantly to work in Blue Nile State, South Sudan and West Darfur.

Many projects are focused on conflict recovery and include drilling boreholes, improving health facilities and
reintegrating refugees. IR is also running a camp in Darfur for people made homeless by the conflict.
